Avoid Street Congestion CTA Centennial Poster
"Avoid Street Congestion" poster was designed by Arthur A. Johnson. It captures the vitality and energy of Chicago's Loop when it was originally published in 1926. It is a view looking at the CTA Elevated Trains structure along Wabash Avenue (where our frame shop is located) in the block between Monroe and Adams. Interestingly, it shows car traffic running in both directions on Wabash while, today, Wabash is a one way street running south from north. The poster was modified and republished in 1997 by special request from the Chicago Transit Authority for its 100th Anniversary. It is 24 x 36" in size and is printed on heavy, smooth white paper stock. It is our best-selling poster of all our vintage posters. It will be shipped to you rolled up in a heavy tube and then inside a rectangular box to prevent damage in transit.
