The Arakawa Hanging System is a new twist on an old idea: A rail attached to the wall near the ceiling allows art to be hung from it by means of braided stainless steel aircraft cables and picture hooks that slide up and down on the cable, with a one-way gripper that can be easily released to move it. Of all the systems on the market, this is the most professional, one used all the time by contractors and builders, as well as do-it-yourselfers. It's ideal for the home, office or retail environment, easily added to and incredibly easy to use. The rails are extruded aluminum with snap-on, paintable, vinyl covers. While the Arakawa line is very extensive, we offer the most popular elements: rails that attach to the wall to hang cables that will hold either 45 or 60 lbs. of weight, as well as ceiling-mounted rails that attach either directly to the face of the existing ceiling or rails that can be inlaid into a groove between dry wall sheets during a build-out so that the front of the rail is flush with the face of the ceiling.
