Eagle River Wisconsin Marathon Medal Shadowbox Frame




Our client had run in a marathon up in Eagle River, Wisconsin once before and decided to run it, again, the following year. To his surprise, his image was used on the entry card the following year, so we incorporated it into the frame design, along with the medal and a 3rd place finisher's plaque. The size of the frame is 12 x 27 (inside). Our framing designer, Julie, created a mat board platform shaped like the medallion ribbon as well. The ribbon, medal, and entry card are attached to it, which has a riser behind it to give the appearance of floating. The mat board shadowbox this is all attached to is an Artique 3518 Grey Linen, which works perfectly with the Larson "Madison-Natural" 1" wide flat top or "cap" picture frame moulding. The glass is Conservation Clear glass to prevent fading.

If you run any of the marathons here, in Chicago, save your participation medal, bib number, any photos from the event and we will collaborate, with you, to create a very cool shadowbox to hang on your wall, commemorating your participation in the event. Remember: You don't have to win to warrant creating a shadowbox frame of memorabilia. From our point of view, just finishing is a herculean task on its own. Celebrate the achievement!
