Letter Mats & Cut Art Shape Mats
The above photo shows a collage mat that we created for an exhibition at the Chicago Cultural Center. It was about the pioneers of the black music industry back in the 1930's, 40's and later. We were asked to cut the word "Broadcast" into this particular mat and, as you can see, it tells a story. The mats shown in the stories below also inform the viewer just what the framing project was all about, with very few words.
