Early 20th c. Photos in Double Arch Mats

This is a frame that included two early 20th century black & white photos of this client's grandparents when they were young (probably photos of them at their confirmation). One photo had been framed in a rectangular frame and the other was in an arch-shaped frame. Both were in need of new framing and the client wanted them both in a single frame. Since one photo had been cut to the shape of a cathedral arch, we decided to frame them both in the same frame with a mat that had two cathedral arches. The mats used were Crescent 1588 Ivory on the top and Crescent 9916 Mocha Green on the bottom. Both mats are acid-free and conservation-grade. We put anti-reflective Museum Glass on the frame as well to prevent fading and cut down reflection. The frame is an AMPF7321 Antique silver with black panel. Glass size is 26 1/2 x 20 1/2. Please forgive the first photo, that has a line across it. I am unsure why it appeared on the jpeg I used, but I had to try to fix it in Photoshop and the end result was not great.

As you can see, we have tried to design a framing treatment that matches the mood of the photos. The mat colors complement the tones used in the photos, and the frame ornamentation coordinates nicely from this period.
