One of the last "space opera" science fiction television series was Stargate SG-1. The story is about the discovery of a "stargate" that allows military and science explorers to travel to other planets and parts of the galaxy without a space ship, presumably to other planets with :stargates." The series was a success and lasted 10 years on a variety networks with numerous sub-plots and titles. It was the last of the real science fiction space traveling action heroes and ran from 1997-2007. Richard Dean Anderson had a major acting role (later as MacGyver). This collage frame shows the "Stargate" and was made as a 3D printed object for the collage frame shown here.
