Non-Archival Wood Frames

Flax stocks a lot of different frames that are not, necessarily, archival, including Nielsen's Royal collection. It is the most basic of frames: Simple, flat-top cross section, matte black finish with a little woodgrain showing. Comes with regular glass and non-archival backing. Does not include a mat, so you can frame edge-to-edge or do your own mat. Royal comes in all the same standard sizes as its metal counterpart, Nielsen Basics.

The Gallery Wood Frame from Nielsen Bainbridge is a full 1 1/2" deep, allowing you to use it for framing stretched canvases, for shadowbox framing or standard framing with mats with a deep look. Stocked in matte black or in a cleaar-finished natrual wood, it comes with a white 4-ply paper mat and regular glass. It's available in 6 standard sizes and 2 poster sizes (with no mats).
