Ready-Made Frames
New for Spring, 2008, Nielsen- Bainbridge introduces 5 new wood frame styles, all with their patented Artcare TM matting and backing as well as U/V filtering glass, which blocks 98% fo all UV A and UV B light, the primary cause of fading in framed artwork.
The new styles are: (top left) Bellagio, (top right) Cambridge, (lower left) Monarch, Providence (lower left and lower right) and Valencia (at right). Click on the pictures to find out more about them or to order them. All 5 styles come with archival mats, U/V glass and are available in 8 x 10, 11 x 14 and 16 x 20.
In addition, Flax Art & Frame already stocks the complete assortment of all the Nielsen-Bainbridge ready-made picture frames. With picture framers emphasizing, more and more, the use of acid-free matting and backing boards in the custom framing they do, as well as ultra-violet light filtering glass to reduce fading of the art, Nielsen-Bainbridge felt it was time to offer ready-mades with these materials. Introduced in 2007, many of the styles we've been showning here are termed "ArtcareTM Archival Frames" and have these attributes (acid free mats and backs, u/v filtering glass).
In addition, you'll find non-archival, wood poster frames in sizes 18 x 24 up to 30 x 40", canvas-depth wood frames 8 x 10 up to 20 x 24 and other wood frames with regular glass.
