Chicago Prints

With our new President, Barack Obama, hailing from Chicago, we thought it only fitting and proper that we share with you a print that has been flying out of our store over the last few months. Derrell Spicy, a Chicago artist and painter that we have known for years (painted a lot of Chicago Bulls prints during their winning spree in the 1990's), has created a work of art titled "The Time Has Come", which we had on display in our store for several months. Derrell has also come out with prints of the artwork. The artwork shows President Obama at a podium, with row after row of famous African Americans in the audience behind him, with a row of slaves in chains at the very back. It is so powerful and symbolic in its presentation that you cannot help but be moved by it.

We are offering these prints in full size reproduction (size 36 x 24) and half size reproduction (24 x 18). The full size prints have been signed (remarqued) by the artist, while the small prints have not. Both come with a complete roster on a separate sheet of all the famous or historical African American patriots shown.

Please note that this is a low resolution image and that enlargement of it will result in a highly pixilated, unusable image. The artist will only allow this image to be reproduced on our website to avoid any copyright infringements.

If you wish to obtain these prints framed, we have readymade frames elsewhere on our website that would be ideal for framing either size print. Just click here to be taken to the Tribeca Poster section where you will find 36 x 24 and 24 x 18 poster frames ideal for these 2 prints.
