Little Girl's Apron

                                                  Little Girl's Apron

Our client brought in this vintage, slightly stained little girl's apron to be framed. When I asked her the story behind it, she told me that it had been hers as a little girl, just as it had been for her mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She wanted to preserve it for her kids and felt it was time to frame it.

We picked out a Larson-Juhl white Confetti collection Cap moulding with a 1" wide face in a satin white lacquer. The apron is sewn down onto Crescent C7597 Off-White Moorman Linen mat board in a shadowbox configuration. True-Vu Museum Glass was used to eliminate reflection but protect the apron from U/V light damage.

The bow where the waist sash is tied has been puffed up with a small amount of stuffing to help the bow keep its shape.
